As a small, DIY publication, The Lemming is an absolute passion project. We do it all ourselves, from the printing to the binding to distribution. Every single magazine has passed through one- or probably many- of our hands, and each and every issue represents hours of writing, illustrating, designing, editing, printing and putting together. It is a total labour of love that we then get to put out into the world.

None of our core team earn profit from the magazine, with all proceeds going into printing the next issue & fulfilling our commitment to fair commission for our contributing writers and artists. Anti-profit and anti-hierarchy, we try to embody ways of working that emphasise the collective and support artists and writers to keep doing what they are doing.

We are currently all about helping The Lemming to grow so it can reach more people, invite more discussion, encourage more contributors.
